Congress Tracker

Members of Congress must disclose every stock trade over $1,000, but the law gives them up to 45 days to do it. So these trades already happened, sometimes weeks ago. We publish each filing the day it posts and measure how the stock did afterward.

Filing-day groups are ordered newest first. Within every group, Traded is the default sort; clicking any column reorders the rows inside each filing-day group without breaking the chronology of the feed.
The two dates are shown side by side because a filing can arrive weeks after the trade, and filing days are not necessarily consecutive.
One filing can disclose several trades at once, so counts here are of trades, not of filings.
Tags like SPOUSE and DEPENDENT show who actually made the trade. All of them are disclosed under the same rules and count toward the member wherever returns are calculated.
Stock since compares the stock against the S&P 500 from the day of the trade. For sales it is shown without color, since a rise after a sale is not a gain for the member.
Exchange covers swaps, receipts, and transfers — the position moved without being a bet in either direction.

Members counts distinct politicians who disclosed a trade in this stock within the selected period; it is the default sort.
Buys vs sells counts trades, not dollars, and sorts by buy share: buys ÷ (buys + sells). Descending surfaces net buying; ascending surfaces net selling. Exchanges and transfers are excluded.
Money traded sorts by the midpoint of its estimated disclosed-range bracket.
